Bonnie Ponto

Bonnie Ponto, 59 of Rosendale, was granted the gift of
eternal life on May 9, 2017, after a hard fought battle with stage IV
metastatic breast cancer.  She is now
with the Lord and has gained her angel wings.

She was born March 26, 1958, to John and LaVerne Kabat in
Manitowoc.  After graduating from L.P.
Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1976, she went on to work at Pranges
where she met her husband Vern.  They
dated and soon married on September 29, 1979, in Rosendale.

They began their life together and started their family in
Fond du Lac.  Before long, they relocated
to Waupun where they raised their two children Nicholas and Christina and also
made many lifelong friends.  After
several years they moved to Rosendale where they found their forever home.

Bonnie was an amazingly hard worker and was employed with
the Fond du Lac County Health Department for many years.  Her true enjoyment in work came from teaching
stained glass classes at Old World Art Glass.
There she was able to show her true talent and pass on her gift to
others.  She was a marvelous and talented
artist and it shined brightly through her stained glass work.  The beauty of the pieces she made is difficult
to describe in words.  She made countless
pieces that will be cherished forever.
Bonnie was a great interior decorator and enjoyed getting her hands
dirty in her numerous flower gardens.

But what she really loved most was spending time with those
she held dear, her family and friends.
She was a loving wife, caring daughter, genuine mother and fantastic
grandma.  She was truly one-of-a-kind
with a heart full of love.  She touched
many lives by merely being herself.  Her
absence is vast, but the love for her will live on forever.  She is missed dearly.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of nearly 38 years,
Vern; children, Nicholas (Melissa) Ponto and Christina (Ryan) Weber;
grandchildren, Mackenzie and Brady Weber; mother, LaVerne Kabat; siblings,
Diane Rosenbeck, Kathy (Perry) Mahnke, and John (Kim) Kabat; sister-in-law,
Sheri (Lee) Peters; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, John J. Kabat;
father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Doris Ponto; uncle, Gene Kabat; cousin,
Christine Ulfig and close friend, Jim Beatty.
