Brian D. “Cooter” Diedrich

Brian D. “Cooter” Diedrich, age 53 of Chilton, died on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.  He was born November 20, 1968 in Chilton, son of Ruth Ann (Gross) Diedrich and the late George Russell Diedrich.  Brian married Sara Schierl on September 20, 1997 in Chilton.

Cooter was a graduate of Chilton High School and furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.

For the last 25 years starting at Hilbert Tile, Cooter has been a notable part of the design and construction community in the Northeast Region of Wisconsin.  He owned and operated his own business and was well known as a trusted tile installer who focused on residential whole house needs.  He has partnered with many contractors, designers and homeowners to create unique, beautiful and functional spaces.  His eclectic portfolio includes hundreds of homes and businesses.  He is well known for his dedication to work with his wife and his time of relaxation with his friends, family and their hobbies.

Cooter is a man to be remembered and treasured.  There are moments no one wants to put into words, but this is where we are.  Cooter was a man that did things his own way.  Love it or leave it, and most of us found ourselves loving it, Cooter mastered his own plans and paved his own path.  He was born to be wicked, wild and free.  He took that same path as he left this world … on a snowy winter’s night, he was surrounded by love and laughter that has carried him through this journey of life … free and full of life.
