Bruce Harold Seibel

Bruce Harold
Seibel, 79, of Fond du Lac, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday,
May 14, 2015.  Bruce was born on August
12, 1935, a son of Harold Arthur and Edna Margaret (Knutson) Seibel.

On August
20, 1960 he married Patricia Elaine Silgen at St. Patrick Church, Fond du Lac.

Bruce was a
1953 graduate of the Fond du Lac Senior High School.  He then went to the University of Wisconsin –
Stevens Point for two years.  At that
time Bruce and his brother, Brian, joined the United States Army and served for
four years as Military Police.  He then
went to the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh to finish his Bachelor’s Degree
in Sociology.

His first
employment was as social worker Green County in Monroe, WI.  After that he worked at A. C. Nielson and
then at Mercury Marine.  He returned to
social work with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections until he retired in
2000. 

Bruce
enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, baseball and professional and college
football.  He sang in the church choir at
Salem United Methodist and sang and acted in the Fond du Lac Community Theater
and sang in the Fond du Lac South Shore Chorale.  He loved his time with family and friends.

Bruce is
survived by Pat, his wife of almost 55 years; four children, Michael, Joseph
both of Fond du Lac, John (Anne) of Milwaukee and Amy (fiance, Terry Glass) of
Festus, MO; grandchildren, Meggie (Derik Waterman) Diedrich, Amanda Diedrich,
Ben Seibel, Andy Seibel, Rhianna Seibel, Caitlin Seibel, Kati (Eric) Probst,
Alec Seibel and Tyler Seibel; great grandchildren, Vera Lynn Waterman and
Ophelia Rose Waterman.

He is
further survived by siblings, Dave (JoAnn) Seibel, Jim (Arlene) Seibel, Lynn
Seibel and Susan (Tom) Zoelle; sisters-in-law, Mary R. Seibel Dobyns and Mary
Ellen Silgen Vogt; brother-in-law, Norman Vogt; nieces, nephews, relatives and
friends. 

Visitation
Bruce’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral
Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 4:00 PM
until 5:45 PM. 

Service
At 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 19 a Memorial Service of Remembrance will be
celebrated at the Zacherl Funeral Home. 
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at the Rienzi Cemetery
Mausoleum. 

Memorials in
his name may be directed to the family.
