Carl E. Frazier
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, Carl E. Frazier passed away at the age of 94, surrounded by his family. He and his twin brother, Carlton, were born on September 10, 1927, to Fred and Isabelle Scholl Frazier in Fond du Lac, Wi. He served in the US Navy, as a Seabee, from 1945-1948. Upon his return he began his 41-year career with Kiekhaefer Corp, presently Mercury Marine. He raced boats under the Kiekhaefer flag and helped in developing and managing the on-water test site at Plant 33 in Oshkosh, WI.Carl married Joyce E Scott of Fond du Lac on September 15, 1951 at St Joseph Catholic Church. Last fall, they celebrated a remarkable milestone of 70 years of marriage!
Carl’s free time was spent boating, bowling, golfing, hunting, and fishing. His love of fishing led him to volunteer for 10 years with Fishing Has No Boundaries, helping disabled participants with “How to Fish” activities. He was an outstanding bowler being inducted into the St. Louis Bowling Hall of Fame with a PERFECT game in 1999. He was named to the city Senior All Star Team in 2003. He was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying the Brewers, Bucks, Packers, and Badgers.
He and Joyce enjoyed extensive traveling: fishing trips in Canada, 800-mile Volga River Cruise in Russia, trips to Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and 39 states in the U.S. Carl volunteered his time at his church, St Joseph (Holy Family Catholic Community), Loaves & Fishes, United Way, Marine Credit Union Silver & Gold Club, Fond du Lac Yacht Club, Honorary Life Member of Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of Taylor Park University.
Family meant everything to Carl! Never missing a family event, he attended every sports activity, band concert, birthdays, and other celebrations. Lots of time was spent on the water, teaching how to fish, how to “safely” drive a boat, taking everyone water skiing, or going on infamous houseboat trips. He was “Mr. Fix-It”. You name it, he could fix it! He was detail oriented, spreadsheets were his friend. Carl’s most memorable trait was his incredible sense of humor, always the jokester.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years and their children: Renee (Gary) Neumeyer, Neenah, WI; Gary (Linda) Frazier, Oshkosh, WI; Laurie (Norman) Baccash, San Diego, CA; and Julie Frazier (David Buenzow), Verona, WI. Grandchildren: twins Brett Neumeyer, Neenah, WI and Andrew (Angie) Neumeyer, Hartland, WI; Eric Neumeyer, Combined Locks, WI; Zachary Baccash, San Diego, CA; and Brielle (DJ) Olhausen, San Diego, CA; Kimberly (Adam) Green, Oshkosh, WI and Hannah Buenzow, Lake Zurich, IL. Great Grandchildren: Asher, Joey and Reece Neumeyer; Evelyn and Griffin Green. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Community followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM, Reverend Patrick Heppe officiating. Private family burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
