Carol Ann Kaiser

Carol Ann Kaiser (nee Schwartzhoff) passed away at home surrounded by her children on October 1, 2012. She was 67 years old.

Carol is survived by her mother Mary Charlotte (nee Baxter); her three siblings, Gail (Bill) Rozga, Gregory (Michelle) Schwartzhoff, and Donald (Margaret) Schwartzhoff; her children Dawn (Sherri), Daniel (Rebeca) and David (Kelly), her three granddaughters Zoe Rose, Emma Isabelle and Sophie Charlotte and her former spouse Joseph Kaiser. Carol was preceded in death by her father Gregory, her brother Dale and her faithful feline companion, Micah. She leaves a large circle of wonderful and supportive friends and loving family who will miss her deeply.

Carol was born in Chicago on Christmas Eve, but lived most of her life in Milwaukee, with Fond du Lac being her home for the past 22 years. She received degrees from Alverno College and UW Milwaukee and served proudly as an educator for 20 years at Moraine Park Technical College. Having experienced the profound impact of education on her own life, Carol felt passionately about the classroom as a place of transformation and empowerment.

In addition to being an educator, Carol was an activist for peace and social justice, a lover of the arts, an avid traveler and a devoted mother. She particularly loved being a grandmother, and enjoyed many summer adventures with her granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday October 7th at 4:00 pm at the Alverno College Chapel, Liberal Arts Building, 3400 S. 43rd St., Milwaukee, WI.

In lieu of flowers, please offer donations in Carol’s name to United for Diversity, P.O. Box 263, Fond du Lac, WI 54936-0263.

“May all beings be happy, may all beings be peaceful, may all beings be free.”
