Carol M. Brown

Carol M. Brown, 77, of Dundee went to her heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 16th, 2013, at her home – the Brown Family homestead, with her family gathered with her.  She was born in Campbellsport on May 27, 1935, the daughter of Clyde and Margaret Dreifuerst Hughes.  On August 29th, 1953 she married the love of her life Leo Brown at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Campbellsport. She was a branch manager at the State Bank of St. Cloud in Dundee.  Carol loved her flower gardens and for many years she did floral arrangements from her own garden for Our Lady of Angels Church where she was also a member of the choir.  She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church and choir, Eden and for 20 years was the treasurer for the Crooked Trails Snowmobile Club. 

Survivors include her husband Leo, her children Mary (Mike) Bowe of Mt. Calvary, Larry (Diane) Brown of Dundee, Chris (Gary) Liebich of Wonder Lake, IL, Valerie (Mark) O’Loughlin of Dundee and Vicki (Boyd) Stoffel of Campbellsport, her grandchildren Billy (Tammy) Bowe, Angie (fiancé Matt Galligan) Bowe, Brian (Terah) Bowe, Andy (Shauna) Bowe, Sarah (Joe) Desiderio, Jason (Melanie) Brown, Emily (Devin) Colvin, Shawn Brown, Leana (Gene) Davis, Colin (Adrienne) Liebich, Alysa Liebich, Kailie Konz, Rachel and Leah O’Loughlin, and Nolen, Layton and Audra Stoffel, 17 great-grandchildren, her brother Pearson Hughes of Campbellsport, her sisters, Janet (Ronald) Hanson of Campbellsport, Anne (Donald) Uelmen of Eden and Joan (Jack) Eggers of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Sharon Hughes. 

Visitation will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1563 County Rd. B, Eden Saturday January 19th, 2013 from 10:00am to 1:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2:00pm. Rev. Joseph Juknialis will officiate and burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Dundee.  Memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope.
