Carol M. Kottke

Carol M. Kottke, 76, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, of Oakfield, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.

She was born on August 28, 1937, in Rosendale, a daughter of Allen and Lorraine Borchardt Ballard.

On June 9, 1974, she married Keith E. Kottke at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Rogersville.

Carol was a graduate of Rosendale High School.  She was employed at Green Giant Canning Company, Rosendale.  She was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, where she also worked as a secretary for many years.

Carol enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Mark (Jackie) Kottke of Oakfield; two grandchildren:  Joshua and Taylor Kottke; a sister, Dolores Kaliebe of Shawano; a brother, Charles (Annie) Ballard of Erie, Colorado; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Keith, on March 21, 2010.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, N5680 Towne Road, Rogersville, with Rev. Kimberly Stowell officiating. 

The visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, and on Tuesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Cremation will follow the traditional service.

Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church and will be designated for Visible Worship’s summer 2014 tour.
