Cecilia M. Halbach
Cecilia M. Halbach, 96, passed away October 19, 2012 at Harbor Haven Nursing Home. She was born December 11, 1915 in Stockbridge, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Heimerl) Daun.
On September 11, 1935 she married Percy Joseph Halbach in Stockbridge.
Cecilia attended Stockbridge schools. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on their dairy farm near Johnsburg until 1963. They moved to Fond du Lac and she then worked at St. Agnes Hospital for 18 years.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community.
Cecilia is survived by three daughters, Carol Jane (Don) Kratcha of Mauston, Marlene (Alex) Kraus, Mary (Mark) Cody, and one son Joseph Halbach, all of Fond du Lac.
Her grandchildren are Michael (Natalie) Kratcha, Donna Kratcha, Dan (special friend Sara) Kratcha, David (Lynn) Kratcha, Debbie (Jerry) Waller, Lawrence (Leslie) Kraus, Laurie (Mark) Diederichs, Dennis (Amy) Kraus, Tom (special friend Juan) Kraus, Diane (Mike) Kitchen, Bill (Rachel) Kraus and Sheri (Keith Dieter) Kraus, Ann (Michael) Leighton, Lisa (Brett) Liljegren, and Dr. Paula (Matt Beyer) Cody; great grandchildren, Philip Kraus, Eric Diedrichs, Heather (Alex) Winkel, Amber Diedrichs, Jamie (Josh) Baumann, Zachary Kraus, Jessica (Ken) Buch, Cassandra, Robert and Andrew Kitchen, and Trenton Kraus, Katie Kratcha, Dustin Kratcha, Sam Kratcha, Max Kratcha, Kara and Laura Kratcha, Simon Liljegren, Alexander and Charles Leighton; great, great grandchildren, Logan and Carter Winkel; step, great, great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Derrick and Jacob Buch; other relatives and friends.
Preceding Cecilia in death are her husband, brothers Edgar (Arline) and Albert (Serena) Daun, brother-in-law, Marvin (Georgiana) Halbach; great grandchild, Kelsey Ann Kraus.
Visitation: The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac on Monday, October 22, 2012 from 9:00 until 10:45 AM.
Services: At 11:00 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family Catholic Church on Monday, October 22. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
Memorials in her name may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Community or to the charity of your choice.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care given to Cecilia by the staff at Harbor Haven.
