Cecilia M.
Loehr, 89, of
passed away at The Woodlands on Saturday, January 9, 2016.
Cecilia was
born on July 16, 1926, a daughter of Alfred and Mary (Schwind) Baus and the
oldest of eight children. She married
George Loehr on June 24, 1947 at Marytown.
She began her teaching career in a one-room school house in Garnett.
Cecilia was
an avid sewer and quilter. She loved
traveling, playing cards, trips to the casino, Packer and Badger games,
snowmobiling and fishing. Cecilia’s
grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her.
She is
survived by two daughters, Sandra Balthazor and Mary (Steven) Pitzen; four
grandchildren, Brian, Michael (Sara), Amy Balthazor and Kevin (Trista) Pitzen; four
great grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew and Brandon Balthazor, and Jocelyn
Pitzen; three sisters, Rose (Jerry) Watry, Ruth (Gerald) Steffen and Mary
(Warren) Schlueter; one sister-in-law, Rosemary Baus; numerous nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
Preceding her
in death are her husband of 62 years, George, one granddaughter, Karen Pitzen,
three brothers, Anthony (Patricia) Baus, Kenneth Baus and Daniel Baus; one
sister, Elizabeth Lees; and one brother-in-law, Donald Michels.
The family
will receive relatives and friends at Zacherl Funeral Home,
on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM. A memorial service will be celebrated following
the visitation at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
Cremation
has taken place. Inurnment will be at
Chapel of the Risen Christ,
