Charles A. Kulaga

Charles Arkadga
“Chuck” Kulaga, 91, of Greenacres, FL, was born to eternal life on
Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Florida. Chuck “Charlie” was born
November 1, 1926, in Fond du Lac, WI, the youngest child of Prokofe and Mary
Prus Kulaga. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School and married Myra Gusse
on May 8, 1948, in Fond du Lac, WI. They were married 67 years. Chuck and Myra
(Dolly) relocated to Florida in 1987.

 

Chuck owned and
operated several service stations in Fond du Lac, WI, primarily for Standard
Oil, with his last service stations on 6th and Main and Highway 41 South. He
was a distributor of home fuels in Fond du Lac. He later worked for Brenner
Tank  in Fond du Lac.  In Florida, Chuck worked at Spanish River Resort
in Delray Beach as Maintenance Supervisor prior to his retirement from
work.  He served in the US Army during
World War II as a Sgt in Co “A” 106th Infantry.

His military
occupational specialty was Message Center Clerk. Chuck enjoyed golf and later
was an avid fisherman.

 

A wise and insightful
man, he and Dolly raised four children and loved playing “Rummy” with
friends and family. He enjoyed his family visits whenever they came to Florida.
His words of advice and wisdom are a legacy he left with his children, and he
will long be remembered for all his good words and generosity shown to others
in need.

 

Charles is survived
by his children: Richard (Patti) Kulaga, Karen Kraus of Eldorado, WI, Marcia
(George,Jr.) Paluga, and Michael Kulaga of Fond du Lac, WI; four grandchildren:
Tammy (Larry) Pitts, Robert J. Kraus II, Andrew Paluga, Kevin Paluga; two
great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Grace Pitts.

 

Chuck was predeceased
by his wife, Myra; his parents; his brothers Constantine (Mike) Kulaga, Alex
Kulaga, and sisters Ludmilla Unmuth from Fond du Lac, and Anastasia Drimaeh
from Cholmetsch, Russia.

 

The family thanks his
compassionate home care aide, Marie, for her presence, care, and dedication,
becoming a trusted friend to Chuck and the family; to Hospice Trustbridge in

West Palm Beach, the
nurses and staff at Good Samaritan Hospital for the ongoing care and concern
for him as well as his family, to “Jasmine”, his furry pet therapy
dog and owner Sheila.

 

Cremation has taken
place. A memorial service will held June 9, 2018 at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran
Church in Fond du Lac, WI, with visitation at 10 A.M. and a service to follow
at 11 A.M with Pastor Tom Meyer officiating.
