Charles LuVern Gustafson

Charles LuVern Gustafson, 85 of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully on June 21, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac surrounded by his family. Charles was born in Minot, ND on October 24, 1929, the son of Oscar and Emma (nee Munson) Gustafson. Charles served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from June 28, 1951 to June 27, 1955. He married Ann Welsh on Sept. 15, 1956 at Our Lady of Angels Church, Armstrong.



He was a member of Holy Family Church-Sacred Heart Church. Charles belonged to the Oakfield Conservation Club and the Knights of Columbus. He was employed at Kroger Krambo Meat Packing Plant, Hoppers Ski and Sport, Sterling Custom Homes and the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home before retiring. He loved going to Schreiners for breakfast, especially on Saturdays with grandson Jeremy. 



Charles is survived by his wife Ann, four children: Robert Gustafson, Gary (friend James) Gustafson, Deb Wingeier and Glenda (Bob) Biondi, three grandchildren: Brandon, Leah and Jeremy, his brother Ralph (Gloria) Gustafson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Glenn and one sister Irene. 



Private Family Services will be held on Thursday June 25th at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac with entombment to follow.
