Clarissa T. Tadych

Clarissa T. Tadych, age 91, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Elizabeth hospital in Appleton.  She was born September 15, 1926 in the Town of Centerville, daughter of the late Gregor & Catherine (Schwartz) Leonhard.  Clarissa married Raymond H. Tadych on May 1, 1948 at St. Wendal Catholic Church in Cleveland, Wisconsin; he preceded her in death on December 10, 2001.

With a strong motherly instinct, Clarissa devoted her entire life raising and caring for her children and grandchildren.  She tended to her garden on the family farm and canned much of what she grew and harvested every year.  Clarissa was always willing to help those in need with whatever she could because she lived her whole life in a service to others.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton.  Clarissa always looked forward to a good game of Sheepshead and put her hands to good use by crocheting and embroidering.  She enjoyed the simple pleasure of putting puzzles together and watching CNN to stay on top of current events.  Clarissa will be fondly remembered as a strong, independent woman who took life and lived it by her own terms.

Survivors include her children: Annette (Paul) Haupt, Tom Tadych, Charlotte (Glenn) Kees, Sharon (James) Karls, Theresa (Gerry) Meyer, Jr., David Tadych; 13 grandchildren: Nathan (Marcia) Haupt, Justin Haupt, Britney Haupt and her special friend, Bernie, Brandon (Courtney) Haupt, Chris Kees, Jim Karls, Jr., Jeremy Karls, Jason Karls, Jennifer Karls, Josh Karls, Laura Meyer, Anthony (Liz) Meyer, David Tadych, Jr., Crystal Tadych & Amanda Tadych; 6 great grandchildren: Meagan, Devin, Hayley, Vanila, Vander & Vaughn; and her sister: Ellen (Harry) Sturtz.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Clarissa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Raymond; an infant grandchild; and 14 siblings.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton.
