“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Claudine Weiland Chelberg, 42, of Menasha, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 12, 2014, with her husband and parents at her side. Claudine was born August 10, 1971, in Neenah, the daughter of Steven and Jean (Wondra) Weiland. Following graduation from Neenah High School, she earned a degree in Journalism from University of Minnesota and went on to complete her MBA from St. Thomas University in Minnesota. Claudine enjoyed a successful career in Marketing and Procurement, and most recently was awarded a leadership role with Kimberly-Clark Corporation.

On June 14, 2013 Claudine promised herself in marriage to Aaron Chelberg. Claudine loved being outdoors and especially spending time in Door County, taking walks thru Neenah’s Riverside Park or simply sitting outside enjoying her new home. She loved bible study and book club with her friends. But most important to her was the time she spent with Aaron, their six children and extended family.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Aaron, her children, Anna and William Hoerner, her parents, Steve and Jean, her brother, Ryan (Courtney) Weiland and their children James and Elsa, her grandmothers, Mildred Weiland and Norma ‘Flip” Wondra, Aaron’s children, Logan, Delaney, Bailee and Claire Chelberg, Aaron’s parents, Robert and Jo Steen, Aaron’s brother, Robert (Kelli) Chelberg and their children, Ethan, Andon, Connor, Will, Grace and Drew, Aaron’s sister, Carla (Brian) Schultz and their children Rebecca, Rachel, Sarah and Andrew, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Norbert Weiland and Carroll Wondra.

It is only with our faith, and hers that we can trust the God Who gave her to us and then called her home, with His all-wise plan for all our lives.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 17 at 11:00 AM at the Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd. in Appleton, WI. Following the service, family and friends are encouraged to stay for lunch to continue the celebration of Claudine’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Aaron and Claudine’s children’s education fund, in care of Twohig Funeral Home. Private family committal services will be held Friday July 18 at St. Kilian Cemetery.
