Clyde J. Jones

Clyde J. Jones, died peacefully, with the love of his life at his bedside, on Wednesday, December 19, 2012.

He was born in Breed, Wisconsin, on September 10, 1921, to Harry and Martha Jones.  

Clyde graduated from Goodrich Senior High School in 1940.  Upon graduation, he joined the United States Air Force.  Clyde was a proud World War II veteran, serving in the 5th Air Force in the South Pacific Theater, where he received many decorations, as did so many of our brave veterans.

He married his high school sweetheart, Jeanette Klotz, on July 7, 1943, in Boca Raton, Florida.

Clyde worked 33 years for Sherwin Williams in Fond du Lac and Wausau.

He is survived by his beloved wife , Jeanette; two daughters:  Christine Benning of New Jersey, and Mary Kate Jones of Colorado; three grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; two sisters: Hazel Schingen of Georgia, and Barabara Lee of Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Jennifer; a sister; three brothers; and an infant great-grandson.

A private memorial service in his honor is planned.   In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to your local hospice.

The family wants to extend their gratitude to the staff of Fond du Lac Lutheran Home and the staff of Agnesian Hospice Hope for their kindness and excellent care.
