Danielle Lynn Dhein

Danielle Lynn Dhein, age 35, of Chilton, died on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at her home in Chilton surrounded by love, laughter and her family. She was born November 26, 1979 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Thomas & Kay (Strehlow) Dhein.

Danielle was a proud graduate of Kiel High School, class of 2000. Danielle was an avid fisherman and looked forward to camping with all of the amenities of home. Often times, camping was an additional opportunity for Danielle to showcase her mini-golf skills. In addition to mini-golf, Danielle enjoyed puzzles, card games, was a pro at playing along with Family Feud and looked forward to playing penny slot machines every chance she got. Thrift stores and rummage sales were always on Danielle’s radar; they were perfect places to hunt for clothes, or decorations to adorn her very own duplex. Danielle had devoted 16 years of work to the New Hope Center in Chilton, as well as time working at the Chilton Public Library. She was actively involved with the One Step at a Time Camp and volunteered time as a counselor with the Seabees Leadership Group; a program that focuses on personal growth through achievement and service to the camp.

Survivors include her siblings: Kristine Dhein (Steven Staats), Butch Dhein, Carrie Rovelli (Kim VanLanen), Kyle Strehlow (Cindy Remiker), Pat Dhein (Terri Wade), twin sister Nicole (Allen) Riesterer; nieces & nephews: Nadine, Joelle, Cole, Adam, Ethan, Katelyn, Erin, Colton, Jackson, Brielle, MaKenna; and her roommate Sara Hoffmann. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, a grandma, multiple cousins, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: Todd Strehlow; and a niece: Destiny.

Funeral service will be at 12:30 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 and on Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm.
