David F. Pixley

David F. “Pix” Pixley, 60, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. He was born in Oakfield on March 12, 1958, the only son of Forrest and Rose (Thill) Pixley. On April 1, 1989, Pix married Julie Gedlinske in Fond du Lac.

Pix will be remembered for caring more about others than himself and always helping those with a need. He was a fantastic musician, especially on the drums, and could play many other instruments as well. Pix loved to hunt. He was very fond of his hunting “brothers” at the cabin in St. Germain. For many years, Pix and Julie enjoyed camping at Hoeft’s Resort and Campground in Cascade. Pix worked as a Loader Operator at Eden Stone Co. for thirty years.

Survivors include his wife, Julie; two sons, Dustin (Amanda) Pixley and their children, Dillon, Autumn and Lily, and son, Douglas Pixley; a sister, Carol (Mike) Zahn; a brother-in-law, Gary Lucero; his mother-in-law, Shirley Gedlinske; a nephew that he was especially close with, Derek Gedlinske; extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Darlene Lucero; sister-in-law, Rachel Gedlinske; and his father-in-law, David Gedlinske.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home, 524 N. Park Ave. in Fond du Lac. Cremation has taken place.
