David F. Wondra

David F. Wondra, 79, of Campbellsport left us to be with God in his heavenly home on December 11, 2019, his 79th birthday surrounded by his family at Froedtert West Bend Hospital. He was born on December 11, 1940, the first born to Bernard and Marie Wondra. Dave started working at a young age, farm work and over 60 years of driving truck, whether cattle truck or over-the-road. He served in the Army National Guard from 1959 to 1967. On July 6, 1963, he married Sharon L. Barnes; together they had 4 children. On February 2, 1977, he married Nelda Cochran.

Throughout his life he enjoyed NASCAR and helping his brothers build race cars and assisting in the pit. Dave enjoyed doing various woodworking projects as well and was an avid Hunter. He was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church, the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 in Lomira, Turkey Foundation, Elk Foundation and Michigan Bear Association.

Survivors include his children Bryan Wondra, Chris (special friend Brenda) Wondra, Marcella (Boyd) Blodgett and Joseph (Lyn) Wondra, 7 grandchildren Tim Wondra, Greg (Jamie) Wondra, Kerri Wondra, Kassandra Wondra, Alexandra Wondra, Peyton Luebke and Nicholas Wondra, 7 great grandchildren Hanna, Hope, Landon, Logan, Allison, Emma and Reyland, brothers Rich Wondra and Butch (Charlotte) Wondra, sisters Ruthie (Wally) Ewert and Luci (Rick) Fauska, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dave was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, parents Bernard and Marie, 1st wife Sharon, 2nd wife Nelda, grandson David, brother Thomas and sister-in-law Renee Wondra.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13th at 4:00 PM at St. Martin’s Chapel, Ashford (N1271 Minnie Lane, Campbellsport). Rev Mark Jones will officiate and entombment will be Saturday in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.

Visitation will be Friday, December 13th from 2:00 PM until time of Mass at St, Martin’s Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
