David K. Kloehn

David K. Kloehn, age 83, of Chilton, died on November 12, 2021, at Willowdale Health Services in New Holstein. He was born August 3, 1938, in Green Bay, son of the late Karl and Mildred Kloehn. Following high school, David joined the Army, and married Janice Neuber in 1957. 

David’s entire life was farming and family. He was at his happiest in his combine smoking a cigar. He was a member of the Calumet County Snowmobile Club, and he and Janice loved covering the trails all over the country. He also enjoyed winter because it gave him a chance to plow everyone’s driveways. He always had something funny to say, even right up until his passing.

David is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Janice; their children: Roger (Kelly) Kloehn, Rick (Donna) Kloehn, Dean Kloehn (significant other, Jill), Don Kloehn, and Diane Ausloos; ten grandchildren: Erica (Chris), Emily (Andy), Matt (Tasha), Andy (Amanda), Carly (James), Aaron, Amie (Fiancé, Dane), Jackie, Alex (Al), Adam, Awan, Justin, Justice, Taylor, and Trevor; nine great-grandchildren: Autumn, Andi, Austin, Grace, McKenzie, Haley, Lidia, Hugo, and James; a sister: Carolyn (Bob) Ecker; in-laws: Lynda Neuber (significant other, Wally), Vicky (Randy) Schweitzer, Stephen (Sue) Neuber, and Scott Novack; and his beloved friend: Pippa.

David was preceded in death by his parents: Karl and Mildred; Janice’s parents: Carl and Romilda Neuber; a granddaughter: Abby Ausloos; and a sister-in-law: Barb Novack.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the funeral home on the day of the service. Committal prayers will take place at Hillside Cemetery immediately following the funeral ceremony.
