Delbert A. Krumbein

Delbert “Del” A. Krumbein,
76, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, October 11,
2016, at St. Agnes Hospital.

 

He was born on March 3, 1940,
in North Fond du Lac, a son of Arthur A. and
Alice Rosenow Krumbein.  Delbert was
baptized on March 19, 1940, and confirmed on April 11, 1954.  He attended St. Paul’s
Lutheran Grade
School
and was a graduate of L.P. Goodrich
High School
, Class of
1958.

 

On June 24, 1967, he married
Nancy L. Kriks at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran
Church
.  They would of celebrated 50 years of marriage
on June 24, 2017.

 

He owned and operated Del’s Service and Bait Shop for 13 years, and later had Del’s Landscaping
Service.  Del
was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s
Ev. Lutheran Church,
North Fond du Lac.  He was a member of Ducks Unlimited,
Whitetails Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. 
He was an avid hunter, loved playing softball in many leagues in the
area, and he especially enjoyed his position as catcher.  He was a family storyteller and jokester.  He loved his sister, Debbi’s cherry pie and
never met a donut he didn’t like.  He
loved his pets, Winston and Pixie.

 

He is survived by his wife,
Nancy; four siblings:  Vaughn (Phyllis)
Krumbein of Stephenson, Michigan, Denny Krumbein of Fond du Lac, Sharon
(Eugene) Pingel of Forest Junction , and Debbi (Jerry) Krause of Fond du Lac; a
sister-in-law, Julie (Steve) Roehl of Campbellsport; a special friend, Richard
(Carol) Moler of Ramsey, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents; an infant brother, Eugene; and a brother, Ronald.

 

VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 10:00 -1:00 p.m. on
Saturday, October 15, 2016, at St.
Paul
’s Ev. Lutheran
Church
, 1010 Adams Avenue, North Fond du Lac.

 

SERVICE:  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m.
on Saturday at St. Paul’s
Ev. Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Kampman and Rev.
Thomas Behnke officiating.

 

Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be directed to St. Paul’s
Ev. Lutheran Church
or Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
