DELMAR D. LUTTENBERGER

Delmar D. Luttenberger, 76, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Hospice Home of Hope.  He was born November 14, 1935 in Fond du Lac, the son of Alex and Evelyn Ludwig Luttenberger.  Del was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from April 1955 – April 1957.  In June of 1960 he married Romona Rowe and she preceded him in death on October 23, 1983.  On November 27, 1987 he married Darlene J. Veleke at Church of Peace.  Del was an over the road truck driver for 42 years and had an accident free record.  He was a member of Church of Peace and Eagles Aerie #270.  Del enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels, and rabbits in the yard, doing lawn work, reading and spending time with his trucking friends.

 

SURVIVORS:  his wife, Darlene; two step-sons, Rick Miller and David Miller, both of Waupun; four step granddaughters, Amanda, Angela, Alesia, and Vanessa; two sisters, Eleanor Jones, Milwaukee and Elaine Czoschke, Florida; one brother-in-law, Ronald (Tara) Rowe, Fond du Lac; two sisters-in-law, Rosie (Ken) Braun, Fond du Lac and Marilyn Veleke and special friend, Tom, Waupun; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his 1st wife, Ramona; two brothers, Joseph and Leslie; one brother-in-law, Harley Veleke.

 

VISITATION:  will be from 2 – 4 PM on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home.  A private family service will follow on Friday with Rev. Jennifer C. M. Dawson officiating.  Entombment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park. 

 

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in Del’s name.

 

The family extends a special thank you to the Agnesian Hospice in home care nurses and the staff and volunteers at Hospice Home of Hope for their care and compassion during this difficult time.
