Dennis J. Boll

Dennis James Boll, age 78 of Chilton died on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his home. He was born July 14, 1940 in Charlesburg son of the late Glenroy & Esther (Daun) Boll. He graduated from New Holstein High School, class of 1958. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. 

 

He married Barbara Bennin on April 16, 1966.  He worked at Chilton Metal Products until his retirement in 2002.  He was an avid gardener, loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed cutting wood, collecting hickory nuts in the fall, and playing cards with family and friends.  



Dennis was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marytown.  Throughout his life, he enjoyed vacation trips with his family and bus trips to different parts of the country.  He looked forward to visits from his children and grandchildren.  



Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara Boll, their 7 children: Steve (Karen) Boll of Black Creek, Dan (Anna) Boll of Racine, Nancy (Brian) Boll-Price of Milwaukee, Susan (Don) Martin of Appleton, Sharon (Matt) Emerich of Appleton, Douglas Boll of West Bend, and Heather (Eric) Schneider of Sun Prairie; 13  grandchildren: Cameron Boll, Lucas Boll, Morgan Boll, Arianna Price, Gavin Price, Damon Freund, Isabella Freund, Jordan Martin, Blake Emerich, Kiana Emerich, Rye Schneider, Jack Schneider and Levi Schneider; sister Annette (Richard) Jacque of Grafton, brother Franklyn (Joan) Boll of Cottage Grove, sister Eileen (Bill) Isajiw of Chilton; brothers-in-law Mike (Doris) Bennin of Chilton, Dick (Alicia) Bennin of Elkhart, KS, Jim (Karen) Bennin of Appleton, sister-in-law Donna Bennin of Appleton; and many nieces and nephews.  



Dennis was preceded in death by his daughter: Linda Boll; his parents Glenroy and Esther Boll, in-laws Raymond and Genevieve Bennin and a brother in-law Ronald Bennin.



Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marytown with Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap. officiating.  Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 am until 10:30 am.  There will be a vigil prayer service Tuesday evening at the funeral home at the close of visitation.
