Dolores “Del” E. Lepinski

Dolores “Del” E. Lepinski, 94, of 130 North Hickory St. passed away on Saturday January 12, 2013 at St. Francis Home. She was born March 4, 1918 in Kaukauna, WI, the daughter of the late Herman and Minna (Marx) Schumann.

Dolores married Edward “Eddie” R. Lepinski at St. Peter’s Church in Slinger, WI

Mrs. Lepinski was employed for fifteen years at Fox Jewelers before her retirement in 1978. She has been a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac for more than seventy years.  Dolores is a member and past president of GFWC Woman’s Club. She also served as a volunteer at the Galloway House and The Cathedral Church of St. Paul helping with the Church Mice project for many years.          

She enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, flower gardening, playing bridge, craftwork and reading.

Survivors include two sons, James Edward (Beverly) of Fond du Lac and John Charles Lepinski of Eden; six grandchildren: Mark Lepinski of Waupaca, WI, Cheryl Lepinski, Julie Ann (Don Fabris), James J. Lepinski and Jaclyn Lepinski (Special Friend Dan Hafemann) all of Fond du Lac and Joy (Scott) Dempsey of New Holstein; six great grandchildren: Johnathan Hafemann of West Bend and Dustin Alan Hafemann of Fond du Lac, Jacob and Joseph Dempsey of New Holstein, Logan John and Lauren Nicole Fabris all of Fond du Lac; one sister, Violet Carrao of Milwaukee; also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Eddie on April 1, 1997; two brothers, Pvt. 1st. Class Roy A. (Lucette) Schumann, during World War II, and Harold (Edna) Schumann; two sisters, Esther (Ervin) Boettcher and Alvina (Clarence) Hintz and one brother in law, Joseph Carrao.

Visitation:  Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday January 16, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St. Fond du Lac. There is also visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, January 17, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM

Services: At 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 17, funeral services will be held at the Zacherl Funeral Home.  Rev. Shari Routh will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Cemetery.

There is a place within our hearts where memories abound.  Where glimpses of our loved ones and happy times are found…  We only have to go there to find strength to carry on and realize our loved ones are never really gone.
