Dolores J. Deaver

Dolores J. Deaver, 80, of Brandon, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.

Dolores was born May 6, 1937 in Alto the daughter of Marvin and Lavergne Landaal Kastein. On March 26, 1955 she married Glen Deaver in Fond du Lac.  Following their marriage the couple lived in Racine, Waupun, and Brandon.  Dolores was a homemaker, a crossing guard for several years, and custodian at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Brandon.  Throughout the years Dolores enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, and traveling on the motorcycle with Glen. She was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Brandon and now St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun.

Dolores is survived by her husband of 62 years, Glen Deaver; their children: Paul Deaver of Fairwater, Teresa (Ron) Thiem of Markesan, James (Emily) Deaver of Markesan, Kathleen (Jodie) Stobb of Waupun, and Mary Durant of Waupun; Goddaughter, Kelly (Paul) Hundorf of Brandon, Godson, David (Deb) Deaver of Rosendale; a sister, Marie (Earl) Wellhouse of Waupun; a brother, Donald (Donna) Kastein of Winneconne; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; sisters-in-law; Jean (Richard) Towne and Verda (Fred) Berker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers-in-law: Arlene (Marvin) Bille, Catherine (Jerome) Schwartz, and Donald Vande Zande; brother and sister-in-law, Ames (Veronica) Deaver; two brothers in infancy; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Deaver; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ellen Ann (Roy) Veto.  

Funeral services for Dolores Deaver will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun with Rev. John Radetski officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
