Dominic Campagna

Dominic Richard “Dick” Campagna, 81, of Campbellsport passed away after a courageous battle with cancer the last of the Campagna family on Monday, December 10, 2018 in Tucson, AZ. 



He was born on January 31, 1931 in Campbellsport (the rest of his family were born in the Boston, MA area), the son of the late Michael and Bridget (Manicone) Campagna. 



On May 4, 1963, Dick married Grace Harter at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Campbellsport. 



He served in the Army National Guard for 8 years and was called up to duty for 1 year at Fort Lewis in the State of Washington. 



Dick worked at Stella Cheese for 14 years and then at Precision Metals for 30 years before retiring. In his younger years Dick coached his daughters’ softball teams and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dick and Grace were longtime members of the Country Club Western Dancers in Kewaskum. More recently he enjoyed casino trips, jigsaw puzzles, and reading especially WW II and western novels but most important was the time he spent with family. 



Survivors include his wife of 55 years Grace, children Christina (Craig) Goodacre of Tucson, AZ, Anthony of Fort Atkinson and Corinne “Cory” (Kevin) Hilt of North Fond du Lac, grandchildren Cameron Hilt, Jesse (Fallon) Goodacre, Desiree (Larry) Warnes and Monique Goodacre, great grandchildren Wyatt, Austin and Michael, sisters-in-law Bena Campagna, Shirley (Dick) Patin, Gloria (Ron) Konkel and Eileen Harter, brothers-in-law Gary Harter and Glen (Cindy) Harter, special nephews Greg Harter and Tom (Linda) Campagna, other relatives and friends. 



Dick was preceded in death by an infant son, sister Lucy Pavone and brothers Anthony, Joseph, Rocco, Angelo, Robert and Mike. 



Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm followed immediately at 12:30 pm with a memorial service at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. Mark Jones will officiate.
