Donald F. Kindschuh
Donald F. Kindschuh, 78, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. He was born on December 1, 1943 to the late Earl and Genevieve (Murphy) Kindschuh in Milwaukee, WI.
After graduating from Lomira High School, Don became a custom jeweler working for Glasow-Leitman and Breitzman, Inc. Jack Breitzman and Don became fast friends, enjoying their friendly banter, quick wit and joking for many years.
He loved reading, music, fishing, nature and wildlife. Using his skills in photography, scopes and binoculars, he could observe and capture the habits of a variety of birds and animals. His favorite places for bird watching were the Horicon and Theresa Marsh. With all Don’s interests, he would research thoroughly through books, magazines and public radio to achieve the best experiences. Don enjoyed spending time with his niece and nephews, teaching them about the outdoors, camping and fishing. He often shared his knowledge of bird feeding, especially humming birds, to family and care givers.
Throughout his life, Don imparted so many life lessons with those around him, how to deal with adversity, facing his many challenges with patience and creative problem solving.
Don is survived by three sisters, Pat (Jerry) Eilbes of Brownsville, Diane Gavin of Kimball, MN and Beverly Kindschuh of Fond du Lac; nephews and niece, Mark (Janet) Eilbes, Greg Gavin, Dawn Monzel, Steve (Amy) Kindschuh and Dave (Tracy) Gavin; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Carol Kindschuh and brother-in-law Rodney Gavin.
Per Don’s request, cremation has taken place and no services are being held.
In Don’s memory, teach a kid how to fish, appreciate the beauty of nature, feed the birds or donate to some of his causes: Wisconsin Natural Resources, Wisconsin Public Radio or Audubon Society.
Don’s family would like to thank the Fond du Lac Dialysis Center and Handi-Van drivers for their care and compassion given to him.
