Donald F. Klahn

Donald F. Klahn, 65, of Fond du Lac, died June 7, 2014, at Hospice Home of Hope.

Don was a twin son born to Floyd and Joyce Meyer Klahn on March 13, 1949.

He served with the United States Army from 1968-1970.  After the service, Don worked at Mercury Marine in Oshkosh.  He also worked in the HVAC field in Plymouth and Milwaukee areas.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Cleland/Noffke); a son, Mark (special friend, Kim) Klahn of Ripon; a daughter, Stephanie (special friend, Adam) Klahn of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren:  Tristan and Emily; two stepchildren:  Shannon Noffke and Shane (Heather) Noffke; four step-grandchildren:  Sydney, Cortland, Nat, and Zander; Don’s twin brother, David (Betty) Klahn; a sister, Janice (Greg Opatik); nieces:  Jennifer Klahn, Julie (Bradley Robson), Laura (Erik Unmuth); a nephew, Josh Boegel; brothers and sisters-in-law; and his father-in-law, Irvin Cleland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and a brother, Kenneth.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Agnesian Healthcare and Hospice.

Don’s favorite co-pilot was his dog, Sophie.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Church of Our Saviour, 363 South Main Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Matthew Agee officiating.  Burial will be in North Eldorado Cemetery.

A memorial gathering will be on Tuesday at church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
