Donald F.
Subotnik, 73, of Burnett, formerly of West Allis, died Monday, September 14,
2015 after a very courageous battle with cancer.

 

Don was born
October 15, 1941 in West Allis, the son of Frank and Evelyn Paschke Subotnik.
Don graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis in 1959. He worked at
Giddings & Lewis, F/K/A Kearney & Trecker until retirement. Don was
passionate about golf and the outdoors. He had an enormous love for baseball,
playing as a youngster and into his adult life. He went on to play semi-pro for
Tanner Paull. Don was always willing to help friends and neighbors with a smile
on his face.

 

Don is
survived by his wife of 51 years, Marly; a sister, Gayle Borkowicz of Waukesha,
two children; Bret Subotnik of Tomahawk and Brooke Tabat and special friend,
David Obermeyer of Waterford; and a grandson, Logan Tabat.

 

A memorial
service for Don Subotnik will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11 a.m.
at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Pastor Dennis Overlien officiating.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Saturday at the funeral home
from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
