Dorothy Hasenberg
Dorothy A.
Hasenberg, 88, passed away on March 6, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du
Lac, WI. She was born on May 23, 1928 in Norway, Michigan, a daughter of Herman
and Janie (Gray) Erspamer. Dorothy married Charlie Hasenberg in January 1956.
Dorothy worked
at Wisconsin Bell Telephone until 1960, when she became a homemaker and mother.
She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for over 50 years.
Dorothy enjoyed bowling every Tuesday and was in a cookie baking club. Dorothy
loved the color green, cardinals and Christmas decorations.
Dorothy is
survived by her son Paul Charles and her daughter Lesa Lynn (Elmer) Rother;
grandchildren Christopher Hasenberg, Jackie (Lee) Goodman, Renee (Rob) Kode,
Elijah Rother, Taylor Rother; step grandchild Michelle Schmidt; great
grandchildren McCain, Jaxton, Hailey, Landon, Jackson, Destiny, Tyler,
Brooklin, Naomi and Brady. She is further survived by one sister Lois Valmetti,
one brother George (Grace) Erspamer, brothers and sisters-in-law and many
nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was
preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2000, one sister Elaine (Jack)
Osborne and one brother-in-law, Utch Valmetti, Harry Helmers, and good friend
Lynn Roberts and Sr. Mary Erspamer.
Visitation:
Dorothy’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 at
St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 3970 N. 92nd St., Milwaukee, from
2:30 to 3:45 PM.
Service: A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 10, 2017 following
visitation at the church at 4:00 PM. Burial will be on Saturday, March 11, 2017
at 10:00 AM in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
In lieu of
flowers, it is preferred that a donation would be made to Dorothy’s favorite
charity, the American Cancer Society.
