Dorothy Rose (Heiser) Artin

With her family by her side, Dorothy Rose (Heiser) Artin
died February 18, 2016 at Touchstone Living Center in North Fond du Lac, where
she resided since last April.  She was
born July 11th, 1926 in Oshkosh, WI, a daughter of the late Joseph
and Caroline (Schoenberger) Heiser.

On October 1, 1949, she married her beloved, Frank
Artin.  Together they built their home on
the west shores of Lake Winnebago.  Frank
preceded her in death on December 14, 1992.

Together they raised their two children.  Dorothy was proud that she was able to be a
stay at home mom while giving her the opportunities to be a volunteer secretary
for many years at Presentation Church in North Fond du Lac, WI.

Her passions were reading, Scrabble, genealogy, baking,
knitting, volunteering, babysitting grandchildren, gardening and neighborhood
coffee-clutching.  It was especially fun
when she and her two sisters got together for coffee, laughter and
reminiscing.  She was an interesting
story teller to anyone who would listen and they loved her Oshkosh stories of
living through the Depression.  She was a
member of Holy Family Catholic Parish.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet (Artin) Hopper and
husband, Jeff Hopper of Malone, WI, and her son, John Artin and wife, Patty
(Weninger) Artin of Seymour, WI;  Grandchildren,
Jen (Hopper) Kloostra and husband, Dave Kloostra of Rosendale, WI,   Julie (Hopper) Lafnitzegger and husband,
Mark Lafnitzegger of Lombard, IL,  Joe
Hopper and wife, Andrea (Rhodee) Hopper of Carol Stream, IL, Jamie Artin of Madison,
WI and Jessica Artin of Green Bay, WI;
Great grandchildren,  Anna, Milly
and Jacob Kloostra, Luke Lafnitzegger and Zachary Hopper.  Dorothy is further survived by one brother,
Kenneth Heiser of Rothschild, WI, Long time best friend, Marlene Toney of Fond
du Lac, WI and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Artin,
infant great granddaughter, Chloe Lafnitzegger, sisters, Betty Schroeder and
Phyllis Tomasko and brother, Joseph Heiser.

Zacherl Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Cremation has
taken place and a private memorial service for immediately family will take
place at St. Charles Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like
to extend their gratitude to Nancy and the compassionate staff at Touchstone
Living Center in North Fond du Lac, WI, Generations Home & Hospice Care in
Fond du Lac, WI and Father Max of Holy Family Parish for making mom’s last days
pain-free and peaceful.

In parting, Dorothy
often stated, “I’ll see you when I see you!”
