Douglas A. Guse,

Douglas A. Guse, 68, of Fond du lac, WI, passed away
peacefully early on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Hospice Home of Hope.   Doug was born in Fond du Lac on April 2, 1948
to Melvin and Alice (Tighe) Guse.  Doug
attended St. Mary’s grade school and graduated from St. Mary’s Springs High
School in 1967.

Doug enjoyed spending time with his friends and family,
especially around the holidays, giving special unexpected gifts at Christmas,
scaring kids at Halloween and many more holiday traditions. He was passionate
about watching and listening to the Packers and Brewers games along with
watching many games of basketball in his backyard.

In 1989, he married Tammy (Mathers) Guse. They enjoyed
camping, fishing, boating, laughing and joking with family and friends. Tammy
currently resides at the Lutheran Home in Fond du Lac.

Doug worked many years at Tesloff-Williamson, then joined
the army reserves where he found his niche in life as a caregiver.  He spent 30 years working for the Fond du Lac
County Health department as a home health nurse, along with providing many
years of in-home healthcare for Tammy, who is battling MS.

Doug is survived by his wife, Tammy; four beautiful
daughters, Laura (fiancé Dave Feilbach) Jahns, Connie (Jeff) Coon, Samantha
(Kevin) Baker and Elizabeth (Eric) Krueger; grandchildren, Taylor and Gavin
Jahns, Samuel, Grace, and Joey Coon, Ben, Lauren, Alison and Megan Baker and
Ethan, Ty and Anna Krueger.  He is
further survived by his only sister, Connie (Jerry) Quackenboss;
sisters-in-law, Priscilla Connor, Wanda (Michael) Hayward, Donna (David) Perry
and Linda (Jim) Kelley; brother-in-law, Charlie (Mary) Mathers; as well as many
loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Alice Guse,
his parents-in-law, Don and Dorothy Mathers, and sister-in-law, Patricia Dempsey.

and his family during this difficult time.

Visitation: Doug’s family will greet relatives and friends
on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 4th
Street Way, Fond du Lac, from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM.

Service:  A Mass of
Christian Burial will follow the visitation, at Holy Family Catholic Church, at
12:30 PM.  Burial will follow in Calvary
Cemetery.
