Earl W. Averbeck

Earl W. Averbeck, 89, of Fond
du Lac, passed away peacefully into God’s presence, on Sunday, March 5, 2017,
at Woodlands Senior Park.

He was born on March 15,
1927, in Fond du Lac, a son of Oscar and Vera VanAllen Averbeck.

On March 12, 1949, he married
Donna Marie Schroeder at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac.  She preceded him in death on May 9, 2012.

Earl was a farmer all his
life.  Being raised on the family
homestead, he devoted his life to the land.
Earl saw much progress through his life span.  From a 1 horse drawn plow to 300 horsepower
tractors, from a 25 cow herd to 200+ cow herd, from 100 acres of farm land to
300+ acres.  He expanded and built up the
Century Farm to something his family is very proud of today.  He had the peace and pleasure of seeing his
son and then his grandson take over the farm operation.  All of his dreams and expectations came to
fruition and he was thankful to God for it all.

Earl was a lifelong member of
Covenant United Methodist Church and was involved in various church
committees.  He was involved in Dairy
Association Boards, Associated Milk Producers, and the Town of Friendship
Planning Commission.  He loved the
Packers and Brewers and spending time with his family.

He is survived by three
children:  William (Mona Sperger)
Averbeck of Eldorado, Dr. Richard (Melinda Wynn) Averbeck of Pleasant Prairie,
and Judith (Jim) Flood of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren:  Adam (Tami) Averbeck, and their children:
Sloan, A.J., and Brayden; Nicklas (Casey) Averbeck, and their children:
Charlize and  Memphis; Courtney Averbeck;
Louis (Jenny) Averbeck, and their son, Garen; Nathan (Christina) Averbeck, and
their sons: Jaycob and Levi; Micah (Jenna) Averbeck, and their son, Orion;
Jamie (Dave) VanDixhorn, and their children: David, Anna, and Andrew; Sarah
(Jason) Nelson, and their children: Ella and Kolton; and Teresa (Cary) Sabish,
and their children: Easton and Walker; a sister, Joyce Bishop; and two
sisters-in-law: Betty Schroeder and Evelyn Averbeck.

He was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife, Donna; a brother, Ernst Averbeck; and two brothers-in-law:
Joe Bishop and David Schroeder.

The Averbeck family would
like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Woodlands Senior Park
for their excellent and loving care given to Earl during his stay with them.
