Edgar O. Wolf
Edgar O. Wolf, 94, passed away peacefully Monday, July 18, 2022 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. He was born September 30, 1927 in Fond du Lac, to Rolland and Helen Wolf Sr. Later Rolland Sr. moved the family to the family farm near Oakfield where he attended Homiston, Roosevelt and Goodrich High School.
After graduating high school, he went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where he obtained his teaching degree. After graduation he was offered a teaching job in Juneau where he soon became Principal. His passion for helping others and his students led him to coach the boys’ basketball team. He later moved back to Fond du Lac where he could be closer to his family and enjoy life.
Edgar belonged to the Lions Club of Juneau, the Fond du Lac Snow Flyers Snowmobile Club for 41 years, and Tuesday Evening Senior Dining Group. In the summer he enjoyed boating and golf. His happiest moments were spent traveling with his brother, Rolland Wolf Jr. and Therese Wood, hunting and fishing with his nephews, Daniel and David Wolf, and of course bowling with Therese, his brother, his nephews, and his good friend Don Gorske.
He is survived by the love of his life, Therese Wood; two nephews, Daniel (Patty) Wolf and Dale Wolf; Kathy Wolf, Alison Woodfill, and his good friend, Don Gorske. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rolland; sister-in-law, Beverly Wolf; and nephew, David Wolf.
The visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice Home Health Care and Hospice Home of Hope for their compassionate care of Edgar. He was truly appreciative and thankful for them every day as were all of us.
