Edith Jane Pape

Edith Jane Pape, 94, of Fond du Lac, died
Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at home.

 

She was born on August 17,
1921, in Kiel, Wisconsin, a daughter of Fred and Ida Schaal
Stoffregen.

 

Jane was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School, Class of 1939, and
attended a year of vocational school.  She
worked for General Grant’s Home in Galena,
Illinois
as a tour guide.  She was the office manager, for four years,
at the Fond du Lac Casket Company.

 

On December 4, 1943, she
married Harold A. Pape.  He preceded her
in death on July 26, 2013.

 

Jane was a member of St.
Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Fond du Lac. 
She loved baking, and was famous for her Christmas cookies and
candy.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting,
and was an avid reader.  She also enjoyed
spending time with the grandchildren. 
Jane and Harold spent a lot of time traveling, especially to Branson.

 

She is survived by two
children:  Charles A. (Katherine) Pape of
Brookfield, and Sandy (Gary) Wagner of Townsend; four grandchildren:  Michael (Jenny) Pape, Martin Pape, Derek
Wagner, and Corey (Laura) Wagner; five great-grandchildren:  Matthew, Christian, Lincoln, Logan Pape, and
Della Wagner; nieces and nephews; and good friend, Nancy Kowalkowski of Fond du
Lac.

 

She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Harold; a daughter-in-law, Margene (Murray) Pape; two
sisters: Gardis Marie (Charles) Brien and Elizabeth Arlene (Clarence) Zorn; and
three brothers:  Roland Stoffregen,
Donald (Betty) Stoffregen, and Lloyd (Barbara) Stoffregen.

 

VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30
p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 1600
South Main Street, Fond du Lac.

 

FUNERAL SERVICE:  The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m.
on Monday at church with Rev. Michael Zuberbier officiating.

 

Burial will follow in
Ledgeview Memorial Park.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be directed to St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
