Edwin O. Moon

Edwin O. Moon, 90, died Friday November 2, 2012 at the Sterling House in Fond du Lac, where he was a resident.  He was born the son of Edwin B. and Grace L. Bemis Moon on January 9, 1922 in the Town of Friendship.  He married Carolyn J. “Joyce” Miller on December 31, 1942, in Oshkosh.  Edwin and Joyce owned and operated their dairy farm located on Moon Road in Eldorado for 30 years retiring in 1978. He later worked for the Eldorado Feed Mill for 8 years, and was the custodian for Rosendale Cemetery for 4 years. He was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rosendale.

 

Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Fond du Lac, five sons, James (Linda) Moon of Tucson, AZ; Alan (Sue) Moon of Henderson, MN; Michael (Lynn) Moon of Van Dyne, Richard (Jane) Moon of Green Bay, and Darin Moon of Rosendale, three daughters, Joan (Larry) Conners of  Madison, Carol (David) Marchant of Rosendale, and Sandra (Dennis) Patterson of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by nineteen grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, a great-grandson, and one daughter- in-law. 

 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 9 to 11 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, 124 South Main Street, Rosendale. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM with the Rev. Chuck Thompson officiating.  Burial will take place at the Rosendale Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Edwin’s name. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
