Eileen M. Schneider

Eileen M. Schneider, age 90, of Chilton, died at home on Thursday, June 17, 2021.  She was born November 26, 1930 at her home in Darboy to the late George & Mary (Grode) Sprangers.  She met the love of her life  Clarence M. Schneider, at the Cinderella Ballroom in Appleton and married him on June 16, 1951.  They celebrated 70 years of marriage yesterday by taking a ride around, something they enjoyed doing for many many years.

Eileen attended school for eight years at Holy Angels Parish in Darboy.  She worked at Woolworths, Zwickers Knittingmill, and Thilmanys Papemill, and Tecumseh for a time.  The couple started farming in 1952 and then moved to the Schneider homestead in 1959 and continued to farm and raise their family.  Raising her large family of 8 sons and 2 daughters were some of the happiest times of her life.  She was a hard worker who was in the barn daily doing her chores and tending to her garden.  In her free time she loved to knit or crochet.

Eileen for some time was a member of the Eagles Auxilary and the New Hope Center.  Clarence and Eileen were always together, attending dances, driving around the countryside enjoying all 4 season of wonderful Wisconsin to the fullest, going out to dinner, and doing the things they loved.  They spent many nights dancing and going to dance clubs and the Happy Hopper and We Love To Dance Club.  They were members of the Calumet County Snow Trails and snowmobiled all over the state of Wisconsin.  She enjoyed many nights playing sheepshead and visiting with family and friends at Gravity Park.
