Eileen Wagner

Eileen Wagner,
86, passed away on February 6, 2018 at Theda Clark Regional Hospital in Neenah.
She was born in Oshkosh to Willard and Rosella (Buscha) Smith.


Eileen
traveled with the USO and entertained American troops in combat zones during
World War II and continued her professional dancing career throughout her early
adult years.


On March 6,
1954 Eileen married Donald Wagner at the Church of Peace. Don preceded her in
death in June of 2017.


Eileen and
Don loved to travel, traveling to every state in the U.S., every Providence of
Canada, and different parts of the world. They also enjoyed camping and
square-dancing. In their later years, together they volunteered at Broken
Bread.


Eileen was a
stay-at-home Mom except during Christmas when she worked at Miles Kimball to
create an amazing Christmas for her children every year. 


Eileen was a Girl Scout
leader and camp director at Camp Conahitti in Fond du Lac and a member of St.
Paul’s Cathedral for many years. Eileen also collected the St. Paul’s Cathedral
church mice ornaments.


Eileen’s
survivors include one son Thomas Wagner of Houston, TX; two daughters Darleen
“DoBee”(Dave) Kobs of Fond du Lac and Kitty (Rick) Scherer of Sheboygan Falls and
one granddaughter Jennifer Scherer of Madison.


Eileen was
preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents and two brothers James
and Jack.


Visitation: Eileen’s
family will receive relatives and friends at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E.
Division St., Fond du Lac, on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:45
PM.


Service: A
funeral service will be celebrated at 1:00 PM at the funeral home 
following
visitation on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial
Park.
