Elizabeh K. Kuen

Elizabeth I. Kuen, 102, of Fond
du Lac, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at St. Francis Terrace.  She was born November 16, 1916 in the Town of
LeRoy, daughter of John and Mary Wittman Starr. 
Betty graduated from Mayville High School.  On July 16, 1938 she married John Lechner and
he preceded her in death on September 15, 1945. 
On November 27, 1948 she married Hilbert Kuen in Brownsville and he
preceded her in death on January 22, 2008. 
Betty was a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, North Fond du
Lac Archery Club, and Fond du Lac Vintage Auto Club.  She enjoyed bowling, reading, archery,
crocheting, and loved crossword puzzles.

 

She is survived by four
children, Marilyn (DuWayne) Zamzow, Larry (Judy) Lechner, David (Betty) Kuen,
and Kathleen (Robert) Seymer; ten grandchildren, Vicki (Terry) Schneider, Susan
(Steven) Koepsell, Christine (Joshua) Jopling, Christopher (Barbara) Lechner,
Anthony (Lisa) Lechner, Gregory (Marji) Lechner, Annalyn (Karl) Evenstad, Reid
Kuen, Adam (Ashley) Seymer, and Austin Seymer; fifteen great grandchildren,
Justin (fiancée, Meredith Palagi) Koepsell, Lauryn (Philip) Binversie, Megyn
(Mark) Wirkus, Lindsy Schneider, Matthew Schneider, Rylee Jopling, Christopher
Jopling, Alexa Jopling, Airic Jopling, Kassandra Lechner, Kourtney (Brandon) Ullrich,
Erika Lechner, Haley Lechner, Samuel Lechner, and John Evenstad; two great
great grandchildren, Ferryn Ullrich and Ellyana Wirkus; nieces, nephews, other
relatives, and special friends, Roger and Sylvia Haase.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her
husbands, John and Hilbert; four sisters, Clara (Barton) Anthony, Marie
(Bernard) Schabel, Catherine (Clarence) Hundertmark, and Helen Starr; one
brother, John (Wanda) Starr.

 

The visitation will be held from
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran
Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM
on Saturday at the church.  Private
family entombment will be held in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial
Park.

 

The family extends a special
thank you to the staff at St. Francis Terrace for the care and compassion given
to Betty and her family.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials
