Elizabeth M. Witkowski

Elizabeth M.
Witkowski, 83, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at
the Hospice Home of Hope with family by her side. She was born on December 16,
1934 to the late Norbert Carl and Elise (DuFrane) Cleveland in Fond du Lac.


Betty married
Clarence Witkowski on July 30, 1955 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Fond du
Lac. He preceded her in death in April 1985.


She attended
Moraine Park, later in life, to receive an Associate’s Degree for Dietary Food
Service. Betty was a Girl Scout leader and was a co-Pac leader for cub scouts.
She was a member of St. Ann Society. Betty was a devoted friend, sister,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She never knew a stranger. She
enjoyed card playing, bowling and every Saturday her mother and uncle came over
to play cards. As Betty grew up, she always helped her mother and father, she
was a good daughter.


Betty is
survived by six children, SK Robert Joseph, Mary Fernandez, Norbert (Brenda),
Jean (Bill) Neal, John Joseph and Susan Witkowski; six grandchildren, Josh,
Beth, Jenny, Jessica, Jeremy and Alex and three great granddaughters, Paige,
Izzy and Ashlyn. She is further survived by her sister, Jean Matlack and
brother, David (Betty) Cleveland; seven sisters-in-law, Gladys Witkowski, Dorothy
Witkowski, Mary Heiling, Rita Witkowski, Donna (Harold) Smith, Joyce (Jean) Witkowski
and Mary Witkowski; numerous nephews and nieces, life-long friend, Elaine
Lefeber and many friends.


She was
preceded in death by her husband, parents, one infant child, two grandsons,
Jason Robert and Cody John; siblings, Elise (Leigh) Lindow, Carl (Bernice)
Cleveland, Catherine (Randy) Norenberg, her twin, Robert Cleveland;
brothers-in-law, Pete Matlack, Steve (Bernice) Witkowski, Carl (Norma)
Witkowski, Ted (Charlotte) Witkowski, Leo (Eileen) Witkowski, Joseph Witkowski,
Larry (Arlene) Witkowski, Lyle Heiling; other relatives and friends.


VISITATION:
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 20, 2018
from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at ZACHERL FUNERAL HOME, 875 E. Division Street in Fond
du Lac.


SERVICE: A
Mass of Christian Burial will be held following visitation at 11:00 AM at HOLY
FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 271 4th Street Way in Fond du Lac. Burial will take
place in the St. Charles Cemetery.


In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
