Elmer Raymond Halle

Elmer Raymond Halle, 101, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Woodlands Senior Park.  Elmer was born Fond du Lac on July 5, 1912, a son of Henry and Emma Baumann Halle.

On October 15, 1940 Elmer married Helen Urban at St. Mary’s Church, Fond du Lac.

For 32 years Elmer was employed at and retired from Lakeview Sand and Gravel.

Elmer was a member of Holy Family Parish and St. Mary’s Church where he participated in the Holy Name Society and St. Joseph Society.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #664 and the Eagles Club Aerie 270.

During his retirement he and Helen traveled, did gardening and dancing to big bands.  Elmer was often seen checking out local construction projects. 

He is survived by four children, John (special friend, Barbara Berger) of Fond du Lac, Jean Halle of Neenah, Ruth Prey of Delafield and Rita (Brad) Manthey of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Kristin (Paul) Keck, Stephen (Randi) Halle, Mark (Wendy) Prey, Sandi (Mike) Plotecher, Joseph Manthey and Sarah Manthey; great grandchildren, Taylor Keck, Gunnar Plotecher, Madison Halle, Parker Halle and Ivy Plotecher; other relatives and friends. 

Preceding Elmer in death are his wife Helen; one daughter, Mary Halle; one brother and four sisters.

Visitation:  The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 3, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac.

Service:  At 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, April 3, 2014 a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
