Emil E. Hass

Emil E. Hass, 92, formerly of
Fond du Lac, died Friday, December 23, 2016, at his home in Ocala, Florida.

 

He was born on January 23,
1924, in Rensselaer, Indiana, a son of Herman and Edith Saunders Hass.

 

Emil was married to Doris
Petrich.  She preceded him in death on February
6, 1981.  On May 14, 1983, he married
Tola Braford Guell.

 

He was a carman with the Soo
Line Railroad for over 39 ½ years, retiring on December 29, 1984.  He was a former member of Salem United
Methodist Church, Loyal Star of America, and the Brotherhood Railway Carmen of
American #769.

 

He is survived by his wife,
Tola Hass of Ocala, Florida; three stepdaughters:  Carmonn Kuhn, Carleen (Gilbert) Dilling, and
Carla Mae DeMeyer; three stepsons:  Gary
(Jill) Guell, LeRoy Schmitz, and Michael Schmitz; 16 step-grandchildren; eight
great-step-grandchildren; and one sister, Jeanette Keipe.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents; his first wife, Doris; two daughters; son-in-law, Bruce Kuhn; one
stepson, Richard Schmitz; an infant brother; three sisters:  Ernestine (Cyril) Seymour, Doris (Darvin)
Dehring, and Elsie (Arthur) Hass; and a brother-in-law, David Keipe.

 

VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 10:00 – 2:00 p.m.
on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31
East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

 

SERVICE:  The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
on Friday at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory with Rev. Bill Beaton
officiating.

 

Burial will be in Estabrooks
Cemetery.
