Ernest “Ernie” Peter Lehr

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ernest
“Ernie” Peter Lehr, age 76. Ernie died on April 18, 2016 surrounded
by his loving family. Ernie was born on September 12, 1939 in Mayville,
Wisconsin to Ernest P. and Violet (Leicht) Lehr Sr. On December 5, 1986 Ernie
married Joan “Joanie” and they were happily married for 29 years.

From 1958 to 1961 Ernie proudly served in the U.S. Navy
and upon returning home he became a shoe salesmen for JC Penney; setting up
several stores in the Midwest. Later, Ernie was a dispatcher for the Wisconsin
State Patrol and retired as an administrator for the Waupun Correctional
Institution.

No longer bound by his earthly body; Ernie is at peace in
heaven. Above all, Ernie loved the Lord and his family; placing their needs
ahead of his own. We will never forget his funny stories, wise advice and
generous heart. If you had a chance to meet Ernie, you were blessed.

Ernie enjoyed golfing, fishing, Suduko, the Brewers and
of course the Green Bay Packers. Ernie’s family and neighbors will miss
watching him work in his garden, caring for his yard and spoiling the birds.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Joan; two children,
Richard (Mary) Lehr of Green Bay, WI and Carrie (Jarlin) Hackett of Madison,
SD; six step-children, Sharon (Jerry) Klotz of Loveland, CO, Judy (John) Hammen

Violet Ann, Jamie, Sarah, Maggie, Kollin, Josie, Mitchell, Wooshalno, Richelle,
