Ethel (Pixley) Rumbuc

Ethel (Pixley) Rumbuc, age 90, of Fond du Lac passed Friday February 19, 2016 at the St. Francis Home. She was born on April 12, 1925 in the city of Fond du Lac, the daughter of Eva and Wynard Pixley. On May 1, 1943, she married John Rumbuc at St. Mary’s Church in Fond du Lac. They farmed in the Oakfield area for a number of years before moving to Fond du Lac. Ethel was employed at Kroger Meats, Mercury Marine from where she retired and later at Target. She enjoyed bingo, reading and going out to eat with friends and family.




 




Survivors include her sister Eleanoris “Noinie” Lohse, her 8 sons Daniel (Nancy), Donald, Gary (Special friend Lynn), Preston “Pep” (Sharon), Tom, Steve (Judy), Jim (Cindy) and Paul (Janel), her 3 daughters Sharon (Dave) Peebles, Gail (Jerry) Moon and Mary (Jim) Angle, 37 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.




 




Ethel was preceded in death by her husband John in 1997, one son Johnny in 1962 and her sisters Evelyn, Elsie, Eleanor and Iola “Beanie” and her brother Forest “Sonny”.




 




Memorial services with be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave. Fond du Lac. Burial of her cremains will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.




Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24th from 4:00 PM until time of services at the funeral home.
