Eugene Rickmeier Jr.

Eugene “Snowshoe” J. Rickmeier Jr., 77, of Neshkoro, Wi, died on Monday, April 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born on June 14, 1943, in Fond du Lac, the son of Eugene and Martha (Warner) Rickmeier, Sr. Eugene served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1962 – 1964. On October 2, 1965, he married Agnes Bell at St. Joseph’s Church, in Fond du Lac. Eugene was a legendary storyteller and enjoyed unfiltered humor. Eugene loved to deer hunt. He loved his birdfeeder and controlling the pests that prowled it. Eugene loved his Goldwing and going to Sturgis. He was very active in veteran affairs, volunteering his time to the DAV, transporting veterans to appointments, collecting donation for King Veterans Home, and collecting blankets for homeless veterans.      

He is survived by two sons, Gene and George (Sherry) Rickmeier; two grandchildren, Crystal (Chris) and Connor (Tiana); two great grandchildren, Cameron and Meilah; sister, Cheryl Hebert; brother-in-law, David (Gerry) Bell; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Martha; wife, Agnes; daughter, Anita Rickmeier; and brother-in-law, Dick Hebert.

The visitation will take place from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. Burial will follow the visitation at St. Charles Cemetery with Military Honors to follow.
