Evangeline H. “Angie” Meyer

Evangeline H. “Angie” Meyer, age 81, of Chilton, died on Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born May 26, 1933 in Charlesburg, daughter of the late Ludwig & Dorothy (Buechel) Heimermann. Angie married Robert Meyer on April 18, 1950 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg and the couple farmed side by side on the Meyer Family Homestead in St. Anna. Angie’s favorite part of farming was the time she spent turning over the soil with her beloved John Deere 4430. During this time, Angie also worked for Tecumseh Products in New Holstein. All the while on the farm and well into retirement, Angie & Bob loved to travel every chance they could. Most of the time they would hop in their car and head out; wherever they ended up, they ended up and would call their children to let them know they arrived safely. In her younger years, she and Bob also enjoyed snowmobiling and hosting card parties on a very frequent basis. She was a long time member of St. Anna Parish where she had also belonged to the Christian Women before moving to Chilton where she became a member of St. Augustine Church and subsequently, Good Shepherd Parish. Angie also belonged to the Calumet County Farm Bureau and enjoyed sewing in her free time. Survivors include her children: Susan Kuehn, Pat (Dean) Haase, Shirley (Lester) Schmitz, Jeanne (Charles) Hagenow, Jackie (Dave) Zeamer, Cindy (Mike) Halbach, David Meyer, Joan (Duane) Lisowe, Bob Meyer Jr. and friend Joy, Nancy (Wayne) Casper; 30 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren with another arriving soon; her siblings: Leonard “Buster” (Allie) Heimermann, Lorraine (Tom) Bowe, Raymond (Joanne) Heimermann; and sisters-in-law: Donna Heimermann, Janet (Nick) Steinmetz, Erna Theidemann, & Virginia Kandler.
