FRANCES “Hanky” BRANDMEIER

FRANCES “Hanky” BRANDMEIER

(March 21st, 1931 – December 30th, 2012)

A Saint, who has been walking among us for almost 82 years, has left this earth. Frances “Hanky” Brandmeier passed away with her children and grandchildren by her side on Sunday, December 30th, 2012.

For those of you who really knew our mother, you know the first statement to be true. For Hanky Brandmeier lived her entire life in service of others. She lived in tireless service to her six children, in service to all of her family, friends, co-workers and those she did not even know. She served as a nurse for 41 and ½ years at St. Agnes Hospital where she developed many amazing relationships & deep friendships. As she said, she worked everywhere in the hospital, mostly as an RN supervisor. And according to her, she loved every minute of it.

She is survived in life by her six children, John, Jim, Michael, Mary, Joe and Jeff, by her thirteen grand children, Jennifer, Christina, Patrick, Molly, Blair, Jordan, Jamie, Jessie, Josie, Rachel, Annalisa, Isabella & Ty, her brother Bob Faris and wife Mary Jo Faris and sister Bonnie Marx. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Phillip and Bidie Faris, ex-husband Frank Brandmeier Jr., and yes, her life-long, true love, Frank Sinatra, who is probably singing “Fly Me To The Moon” to her right now.

Visitation for Frances “Hanky” Brandmeier will be on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 3 to 7 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Saturday, January 5th, from 9 to 10 AM at Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Saturday at the church. A private entombment service will follow at the Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum.  Additional information and guest book may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
