Francis D. Kurtz

Francis D. Kurtz, age 60, died at his home on January 6, 2020. He was born in Menominee, Michigan, on February 8, 1959, to Shirley Kurtz and the late John Kurtz, Sr., of Hilbert, WI. 



He worked for the Foley Company in Chilton until it closed up. He drove semi for Stellar and Sons of Kiel, WI. 



He is survived by his two sons: Tyler Kurtz and his wife, Andrea Kurtz, of New Holstein, WI, and his ex-wife Kayla Kurtz, mother of Logan and Lilly Kurtz, Fran’s two grandchildren, and his younger son, Tanner Kurtz of Imperial Beach, CA, who is serving in the United States Navy, and his soon-to-be wife, Heather Dawn, of California; Tyler and Tanner’s mother, Vickie Krahn of Chilton, WI; his mother: Shirley Kurtz; three sisters: Sally Wollersheim and husband, John Wollersheim of Chilton, WI, Deloris “Lori” Pennington and her husband, Don Pennington of Oshkosh, WI, and Patti Kurtz of Hilbert, WI; his nephew and friend with whom he talked a lot, John Gene Kurtz the Third; and many other nieces and nephews.



He is preceded in death by his father, John Kurtz, Sr.; brother: John Kurtz, Jr., of Washington state; three uncles: Ed, Ken, and Lloyd Kurtz, all of Menominee, MI; and two cousins: Art and Bob Antonson of Washington state.



Stories and prayers will be shared at 5:00pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at the funeral home on the day of service. 



In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Francis Kurtz.
