Franklyn W. Gerber

Franklyn W. Gerber, 82, passed away unexpectedly November 1, 2018 at his home.

Frank was born November 20, 1936 to Alfred and Alta Trotter Gerber. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. On November 6, 1959 he married Judith Beckman in Monroe, WI. Frank was a correctional officer for Fox Lake Correctional for several years until his retirement in 1991. Frank loved to fish and hunt. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy; a son, Mark (Holly) Gerber of Waupun; two daughters: Cindy Jensen of MN and Sara (Jason) Heeringa of Waupun; seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Rodriguez, Travis (Tamara) Gerber, Ryan (Ashley) Gerber, Amara Rodriguez, Brock Vossekuil, Nicole Gerber, and Megan Gerber; three great-grandchildren: Sienna, Jaylen, and Kinsley; two sisters: Joyce Vogel of Monroe and Louann (Gary) Colden of Juda; a sister-in-law, Ida Gerber of Monroe; and nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by a brother, Al Gerber; and two sisters: Betty Landok and Ruth McKeon.

A private celebration Frank’s of life will be held at a later date.
