Gail Ann Hupfer

 Gail Ann Hupfer, 69, a resident of Fond du Lac, passed away November 8, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital.

She was born May 9, 1944 in Freeport, Illinois, daughter of the late Leo and Lois Monroe Wettstein.

Gail was a 1962 graduate of St. Mary’s Springs High School, attended the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Following her marriage she raised her three children. Gail served as a waitress at various local restaurants including, Gazebo, Lake-Aire Supper Club, and the 101 Club. Gail returned to school later in life with her son, Mark, and in 1991 they graduated from Blackburn University, IL, with a degree in Psychology. She was employed by the Lincoln House, Sterling House, and the Altera House. Gail was an active bowler, enjoyed movies, music, Elvis, the Beatles, and her cat Charlie.

Survivors include three children, Mark (Valerie) Hupfer of New Baden, IL, Kim (fiancé Mike Burns) Lippold, of Oshkosh, Michael (fiancé Katie Olsen) Hupfer of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, Hannah, Kenny and Brandon. She is further survived by one brother Peter (Joan) Wettstein of Fond du Lac, her former husband, Rod Hupfer of Litchfield, IL, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Stephen Wettstein.

Visitation: The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday November 11, 2013 at the Zacherl Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, 200 South Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday November 12, 2013, 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac.
