Gene A. Kollman

Gene A. Kollman, 75, of Oakfield, died on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at St. Agnes Hospital.

He was born on October 6, 1943, in Oakfield, the son of Arthur K. and Lillie B. Franke Kollman. Gene was a graduate of Oakfield High School, Class of 1961. On April 20, 1968, he married Sharon Kay Schlefke at St. Stephen’s Church in Rogersville. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oakfield.

Gene owned and operated Waupun Truck Service and later Waupun Truck Lines. He had also worked for the Village of Oakfield. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and was proud of his Allis Chalmers tractor. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, polka music, the Milwaukee Brewers and enjoyed mowing lawns and blowing snow. Gene was a member of the Avoca Cemetery Association board. He was also an active supporter of Relay For Life for the past 19 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kollman of Oakfield, his daughter, Pam (Jody) Grahl of West Bend, his two grandchildren: Ashley (Damian) Farr and Justin Grahl; his great-granddaughter, Maya Farr and great-grandbaby Farr due in June; his sister-in-law, Bernice Kollman of Plankington, SD and his brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Barb) Schlefke of Rosendale; his nieces: Penny (Rich) Escott of Rapid City, SD and Hope Boivin of Oshkosh; and his nephew Ron (Kim) Kollman of Chippewa Falls.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ronald Kollman, and his sisters: Laverne (Wesley) Priest and Elaine Kollman, and his nephew, Randy Kollman..

VISITATION: Friends may call on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 245 S. Second St., Oakfield.

FUNERAL: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, with Rev. Matthew Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow in Avoca Cemetery.
