Genevieve Evelyn Seefeld

Genevieve Evelyn Seefeld, 91, formerly of N5689 Seefeld Road died peacefully
Tuesday Feb. 18, 2014 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, she joined her husband
Warren in heaven. She was born on May 25, 1922 in Johnsburg, the daughter of the
late Michael B. and Frances C, Kiersten Schmitz. Growing up on the family farm
she learned a strong German work ethnic at a young age. She finished elementary
school at St. John the Baptist. She worked at a variety of interesting jobs
including being a nanny in Chicago. Also she worked at Allis Chalmers making
superchargers during World War II and at Schlitz Brewery. She married Warren
Seefeld on June 1, 1946 at St. John the Baptist Church in Johnsburg wearing a
wedding dress made from a German parachute. The early married years were spent
farming in Eden. Later, they owned and operated Seefeld Sales and Service (a
farm implement equipment business) where she did the bookkeeping.

Gen
was always known for her generous spirit and kind heart. She was a great
listener with a ready word of comfort and wisdom. Family and faith were her
priorities in life. She was always available to her family when needed. She
taught us to do likewise. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and great
grandchildren, especially at Christmas which was her favorite holiday.

Gen was an active member of St. Louis Parish. She belonged to the St.
Anne Mission Society and the Grief Ministry. Other volunteering included the
Loaves and Fishes Program and the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, years before she
became a resident. Currently, she was a member of the Holy Family Parish.

Mom, we loved you dearly! You will be forever in our hearts and prayers and
will be greatly missed!

Survivors include two daughters:
Bonnie (Jeff) Timler of Fond du Lac and Gloria (Dennis) Rasmussen of Oshkosh and
Dennis (Sheila) Seefeld of Fond du Lac, her six grandchildren: Colleen (Steven)
Lingenfelter of Downers Grove, IL, Mark (Kathleen)Timler of Franksville, Jason
(Marie) Rasmussen of Hopewell, IL, Rebecca (Alex) Rasmussen of Chicago, IL, Nick
(Nichole) Rasmussen of Omro, and Bernadette (Tim) Seefeld of Sun Prairie; her
nine great grandchildren: Mackain, Meghan, Genevieve, Sam, Cora, Cole, Icie, Ian
and Abby. She is further survived by one sister Lorraine Harvey of Fond du Lac
and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents
and her husband Warren on March 29, 2005; one brother Adrian in Jan. 2010; two
brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.

Mass of Christian Burial will be
held Friday Feb. 21, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church, at 271
Fourth Street Way in Fond du Lac and entombment will be Sat. at 10 AM the Chapel
of the Risen Christ at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Friends may call Friday
at the church from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
directed to the Alzheimer’s Association of SE Wisconsin. The Twohig Funeral Home
